Because of the nature of tattoos and body piercings, there are many questions that are on the mind of our customers. We have compiled the most common questions asked to try to help you in the process. Whether you have just received a tattoo or are thinking about getting one, this page should help.

How can I choose the right design for my tattoo?

There are numerous options for tattoos. Do some internet research and find the best pictures. Design your own or have one of our artist’s help you come up with the perfect body art.

Does getting tattoos hurt?

This is the most popular question because people are afraid of pain. The modern equipment that is used now makes body art much less painful. Most people are able to carry on a normal conversation during the process. It is certainly not like it was in years past, technology has made it easier and safer. Some areas of the body that have less flesh will hurt a little more than those that have more fatty tissue.

Is it safe to get body piercings?

It is completely safe if the shop uses sanitary measures. We abide by the Illinois Department of Health guidelines to ensure your safety. There is always the chance of infection, but most people find that it is a relatively safe procedure.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

The key is going to a professional. The proper equipment must be used to ensure you are not at risk for hepatitis C. All needles must be new to protect the customers. Most good body artists will let you know their safety procedures upfront, like clean needles.

Will my tattoo look awful as I age?

If the skin starts to sag the tattoo can lose its shape and may or may not look bad. There are certain areas that are prone to sagging as we age and those are the areas that should be avoided. Try to keep them in places such as the ankle or the shoulder where there is not much tissue and not much sagging can happen.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

The law requires that you are at least 18 years of age for a tattoo.

How old do I have to be for Piercings?

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent’s permission and signature.

What areas of the body do you offer Piercings on?

Currently we will pierce the eyebrow, ears, naval, nipples and nostril.
